We teach what we know

DeeLab started as a data annotation services company. Over time, we noticed something consistent: the quality of annotation work — whether done in-house or by clients — depended heavily on how well people understood the full pipeline.

Not just how to draw a bounding box, but why the label matters, how it feeds into model training, and what makes a dataset genuinely useful for the task at hand.

We began training our own teams formally. That internal curriculum — refined through hundreds of real annotation projects across image, video, audio, text, and 3D data — became the foundation of DeeLab Academy.

Our first corporate training programme ran for a client team building annotation capability in-house. The results were strong. We opened the programme publicly. DeeLab Academy was born.

DeeLab Academy courses are designed and delivered by a team of five industry practitioners with multi-year hands-on experience in data annotation, AI project management, and labelling operations.

The curriculum was built collaboratively, drawing directly from real project work. We are open to adding new domain experts as the course catalogue grows.

We collect structured feedback after every course and read every response. That feedback loop has shaped every iteration of our curriculum — and will continue to.
