Image Labeling ESSENTIALS
Master core image labeling — bounding boxes, polygons, and keypoints — for computer vision AI.
Course Fee
S$158Next run: 17 Aug 2026
Overview
Become a certified Image Labeling professional.
Image labelling is where most computer vision starts. You will work through bounding boxes, polygons, semantic segmentation, and keypoints on real datasets — the same primitives behind autonomous-driving systems, medical-imaging tools, retail vision, and content-moderation pipelines. Pick up the speed and consistency production teams expect, and a verifiable credential to show for it.
Counts toward DeeLab Academy's Certified Data Annotator pathway.

What our trainees say
Unedited feedback from graduates who completed this course.
“DeeLab instructors Hannah and Ben did an excellent job in helping me understand the intricacies of the image labelling techniques for data annotation. They were super patient with questions and explained their answers well and also inquired if the answer was understood; the last practice should be required of all instructors. They were very polite and upbeat. I really enjoyed the course. Brava to Hannah and bravo to Ben. Thanks.”
“What truly sets Deelab’s Image annotation course apart is the combination of their instructors' expertise, the course's hands-on approach and their affordable pricing. I was able to acquire annotation skills in short time and I hope for an immediate, real-world applicability of their training. Highly recommended!”
“If you truly want to learn image annotation with a really patient and knowledgeable team of professionals then look no further than DeeLab.”
“I had a helpful experience with this organization. The training programs are top-notch.”
“Great course! Highly recommend it!”
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about this course.
The course is open to anyone — no prior AI knowledge or coding experience required. It works well for project managers and QA leads setting standards for their labelling teams, contractors and freelancers paid to annotate professionally, and developers or researchers who want to understand what their training data actually looks like. Understanding image labelling from the inside helps you plan better, communicate across teams, and produce higher-quality results faster.
All tools used in the course are free or very low cost — you can keep using them after the course ends. You will work with Label Studio (Community Edition) or CVAT (Community Edition) for annotation, and Google Drive for dataset organisation. A standard laptop with a modern browser is all you need — no GPU, paid licence, or specialist hardware required.
You will be able to produce bounding box, polygon, and keypoint annotations to production standards on real image datasets, follow a clear label taxonomy so your output is usable downstream, and meet the speed and consistency expectations production teams set. These are the day-one annotation skills used inside autonomous driving, medical imaging, retail vision, and content moderation pipelines. Project scoping, QA leadership, and team-role rotation are reserved for the Advanced courses and bootcamps — Essentials is built around the core annotation craft.
Yes — Image Labeling Essentials is fully online and you can join from anywhere in the world. We are also open to designing on-site workshops for organisations with sufficient demand; reach out through our contact page if you would like an in-person format for your team.
There is currently no formal industry-wide certification body for data annotation training — a gap the AI ecosystem is still addressing. DeeLab Academy follows the best current industry practices and methodologies, our curriculum is designed and delivered by a five-member team of multi-year industry experts, and we collect structured feedback from every cohort to keep improving the content. We are fully open to being audited by any recognised consultancy that wishes to validate our processes.
You have three months to complete the course, counted from the end date of your first course run. The deadline is fixed and doesn't reset if you move to a later run.
Yes — you're automatically enrolled in the run you choose, and you can move to another scheduled run of the same course up to twice from your dashboard. Your payment carries over and your completion deadline stays pinned to your first run's end date.
